1st May, 2023 - DJI, the pioneer in aerial technology, imaging, and education solutions today introduces the Agras T20P agricultural drone in the Americas. This marks the first time the T20P will be launched outside of Asia and will be on display at Brazil's Agrishow, one of the largest agricultural technology trade shows in the world.
The DJI SmartFarm Web can instantly generate high-definition images of farmland and orchards, as well as analyze crop growth with total clarity. It enables convenient management of digitalized agricultural information by providing guidance for the automatic operations of different agricultural machinery and monitoring the effectiveness of operations.
With industry-leading drone products and years of technical expertise, DJI established the DJI Agriculture brand in 2015 and has developed a broad portfolio of DJI Agras products such as the T-series and MG-series agricultural drones, Mavic 3 Multispectral, DJI Terra and DJI SmartFarm App.
Since 2015, DJI Agriculture has been working with its partners to create an aerial application ecosystem centered on pesticide optimization, product improvement, technological advancement and talent growth. The products have been used in various regions and favored by customers worldwide.
“The introduction of DJI Agras T20P to the Americas is expected to benefit farmers by enhancing the standard and productivity of their crops, cutting down expenses, and boosting revenue," said Celio Zhang, Regional Representative of the Americas at DJI Agriculture." Additionally, it will encourage the advancement of contemporary agriculture practices and provide the very latest technology to help farming businesses thrive.”
With DJI Agriculture’s aim to simplify agricultural practices, the Agras T20P is light and nimble while packing powerful performance, featuring a four-rotor and new tilted truss design that reduces its size by 77% for easy handling by one person. Equipped with a Dual Atomized Spraying System, DJI Terra, Active Phased Array Radar and Binocular Vision, it supports multiple operations from surveying and mapping, to spraying and spreading, offering superior performance and versatility at the best value.
The new magnetic transmission design completely isolates the pesticide from the motor, making the agriculture drone corrosion-proof and ultra-durable, which can be quickly disassembled by hand for easy cleaning. The dual atomized spray disc ensures even droplets and more efficient pesticide usage. The proprietary centrifugal valve prevents leakage, avoids over-fertilization, pollution, and reduces pesticide use while protecting the environment.
Being able to spread 1 ton of fertilizer per hour, the T20P Spreading System supports greater payload weight and capacity of up to 25kg and 35L. The drone is equipped with a weighing sensor that monitors the spread quantity and remaining payload. The spreading device can be easily dismantled in 3 minutes and be cleaned.
The obstacle sensing capability has been enhanced through the utilization of active phased array radar and binocular vision, which can provide 360-degree omnidirectional obstacle sensing to ensure optimal security during operations. The detection distance of up to 50 m allows for intelligent terrain following, smooth scaling and bypassing of multiple obstacles.
Combining mapping, spraying and spreading functions, the AGRAS T20P enables easy capture of your desired view with its UHD camera and adjustable gimbal. Farmland and orchard images can be captured in real time, and local maps can be generated using the remote control without full internet connection. The system detects land boundaries and obstacles automatically, for quicker planning of flight routes over farmland and hilly orchards.
Consisting of major functions including Farmland Information Management, Intelligent Field Scouting and Analysis, the platform is recommended to be paired with the Mavic 3 Multispectral. It can generate 3D maps for hillside orchards with complex terrains and can plan 3D routes with height information to provide optimal routes for agricultural drones. It can also guide variable-rate operations by generating prescription maps and synchronize them to agricultural drones for variable operations, saving pesticides and fertilizer.
DJI Agras T20P will be available for purchase in select countries and regions on May 10, 2023. For more details about the product, pricing, and availability, contact an authorized local DJI reseller. Operators should check local regulations to determine what certifications and approvals are required to operate this product in their country or region.
Since 2006, DJI has led the world with civilian drone innovations that have empowered individuals to take flight for the first time, visionaries to turn their imagination into reality, and professionals to transform their work entirely. Today, DJI serves to build a better world by continuously promoting human advancement. With a solution-oriented mindset and genuine curiosity, DJI has expanded its ambitions into areas such as agriculture, public safety, surveying and mapping, and infrastructure inspection. In every application, DJI products deliver experiences that add value to lives around the world in more profound ways than ever before.
